Znak is an intellectual periodical with focus on social and cultural matters published in Kraków by the Znak publishing house. The monthly was initiated by Jerzy Radkowski with the first issue appearing in 1946. The publication was discontinued between 1953 and 1956. Znak’s former editors-in-chief include: Jerzy Radkowski, Hanna Malewska, Stanisław Stomma, Jacek Woźniakowski, Bohdan Cywiński, Stefan Wilkanowicz, Jarosław Gowin, Michał Bardel (initially acting editor-in-chief). Since 2010 the periodical has been led by Dominika Kozłowska.
Znak deals with topics such as religion, social and cultural issues, philosophy, politics and ethics. Considerable space is devoted to reviews.
Moreover, Znak regularly features columns contributed by Jerzy Illg, Cezary Kościelniak and Janusz Poniewierski.

Several dozen of the most important articles that had been published in Znak over the years were collected in 2006 and published in a single volume entitled Ku jedności świata (Towards the unity of the world). Since 2010 all issues covering years 1946 to 2006 have been available digitally.
